Visitor address
Philippshöhe burial forest in Hagen-Kuhlerkamp.
To visit a particular burial place, obtain its tree or RuheBiotop number. This cemetery uses woodland paths rather than conventional grave rows. Find the destination in the operator’s map linked from the cemetery map before travelling.
Arriving by car
Visitor parking is in the lower section. The forest barrier is normally closed. Driving to the woodland office is possible only during a burial or under a personally agreed exception; plan an ordinary visit on foot from the car park.
A complete overview of all pedestrian entrances is not available here. For an appointment, ask for the meeting point and appropriate approach instead of assuming another woodland path is a public cemetery entrance.
By bus and then on foot
Routes 517 and 547 serve Heinrichstraße stop. The lower car park is still more than a kilometre from the nearest stop. Allow for this final stretch as well as the bus journey.
For limited mobility or a scheduled burial, discuss arrival with the operator first. The woodland route and any exception for vehicle access need to be agreed for the particular destination.
Orientation on the grounds
Our interactive map shows the visitor car park and emergency access points F6-1 HA and F7-1 HA. Their references help identify a location; they are not staffed stations. Use the operator’s map for the woodland office and two outdoor farewell areas.
